1945 - King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace. The guests of honour were all repatriated Prisoners of War.

The horrors these men saw and experienced...and survived.

Margaret was only 14 years old when this garden party took place. Elizabeth was 19.
