Eugenie to be a mentor for 35 under 35 initiative for the King's Foundation

Charles asked his niece to take on the role. I think she's a good fit for this.

Could it be that Eugenie (and possibly Beatrice) will take on some domestic patronages to free up the more senior royals? We've talked about it before, and have gone round on whether or not it would bring Fergie and Andrew into the spotlight along with their daughters.

I think that, with TO and TOW gone, Charles has decided to broaden his "slimmed down" working Royals thing. Getting Eugenie--and possibly Beatrice--involved with things like The KIng's Foundation is a start.

I think that, once again, the media is jumping to conclusions.

Eugenie has been named as one of many mentors for this project. She has the skill set for this assignment so why not include her?

But it's a huge leap to conclude, oh, now she's a working royal and she'll be traveling abroad to represent the monarchy, and she'll be attending State Dinners, riding in the carriages to the Trooping of the Colours, and waving from the balcony.

For years, Beatrice, Eugenie, Zara, and Peter have been attending Garden Parties and Royal Ascot, and for years, the media react like Pavlov's dogs and insist they will be joining the ranks of the working royals.

It's become as predictable as the antics of the California duo.

My comment was that the sisters might be considered for domestic appearances, not foreign tours or state events.

They already do make domestic appearances and have already accepted patronages, but they are not making those appearances on behalf on the monarchy.

But these appearances are not listed in the Court Circular. I just checked and neither Eugenie nor Zara are mentioned as having attended the last Garden Party - only the working royals are mentioned.

IMO, neither Beatrice nor Eugenie will ever be full-time working royals. And neither Charles nor William are going to change their stance regarding having part-time working royals.

They're like the Michaels --who have lots of charity work, no recognition.
