Lady Helen Taylor confirms what I've always thought about her father: he's kind, thoughtful, modest, charming, impeccably well-mannered, hardworking, discreet, and loyal to the monarchy. The story about him passing the torch to Catherine almost made me cry. Hugo Vickers also adds some good insight.

I highly recommend his memoir, which came out a year or so ago.

I'm reading his memoir now. The first chapters have been hard for me, but it's fascinating.

The beginning was like a royal book of the begats. The names and relationships were familiar, but since the stroke some things just don't register and stick like they used to. It's a good mental work-out for me.

What an informing interview. I love Lady Helen's interaction with the hosts, she's dignified yet she could be speaking with any of us. No airs or graces.
The Duke of Kent is a national treasure.
