Queen Mary's Russian Brooch - The brooch was a wedding gift in 1893 to HRH Princess Mary of Teck, Queen Mary, from Emperor Alexander III and Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia. Leslie Field in her book, The Queen's Jewels, describes the brooch as "a large square-cut diamond and a square cabochon sapphire set in a scroll frame of round diamonds." On the death of Queen Mary her grand-daughter Queen Elizabeth II in herited it. It has not been seen since 2021 when it was last worn by the late Queen.

There are other brooches I like better, but I would never say no to diamonds and sapphires.
