I love Margrethe's wedding gown. It's so simple and so classic--it could be worn today and still be in style. That train, though, reminds me of a heavy tablecloth. The bridesmaids and flower girls had their work cut out for them!

I love Margrethe's wedding gown, it was Margrethe through and through. The train was definitely made from a heavier material. You can see at one point when the train is being straighten, it's so heavy that Margrethe is pulled back a bit from just the straightening. She was so in love with Henrik.

Margrethe and Henrik both said their meeting was love at first sight. Margrethe also said she was so in love that she didn't eat at all during their honeymoon. Despite Henrik's later complaints and his mental deterioration towards the end of his life, I think their love endured until his death. Certainly hers did.
