1952 - The King is Dead, Long live the Queen. Thank you again Your Majesty for the long life of service and duty you gave to this country and the Commonwealth.

Taken by Prince Philip on the flight back to Britain.

You rarely ever saw the late Queen show her emotions when she was stricken with sadness. These photos are so striking. The one photo that touched me was the Queen sitting alone, masked, at St. George's during Prince Philip's funeral. That will always stay with me.
