Ridiculed by comedian at prestigious Netflix event in LA

Hollywood's leading lights were paying close attention last night when streaming-giant Netflix held its prestigious season launch in Los Angeles.

Ben Affleck was there at the historic Egyptian Theatre to plug a new film, while Tina Fey entertained guests with details of her latest comedy.

Clips of colourful documentaries starring Victoria Beckham, Eddie Murphy and former president Barack Obama featured prominently.

Yet one of Netflix's best-known collaborators, the Duchess of Sussex, was barely mentioned at the event - even though her lifestyle show, 'With Love, Meghan', is due to be released in March.

Worse, in another sign that America is falling out of love with the royal couple, a leading comedian at the event made Harry and Meghan's film-making record the butt of a dismissive joke.

I would say that since the Harkles have proven to Netflix they are lazy, freaking grifters, Netflix doesn't give a damn anymore.
When Meghan was at that "tribute" to Tyler Perry last fall, Gettyimages had 3 pages of photos, the interesting thing was that Ted Sarandos was there and not one photo showed Ted and Meghan together. He was with other Netflix celebs. I think the "old friend" gig has grown sour.

Hmm, sounds like the person who was "interviewed" was a Sussex plant. The person is at a major Netflix event, and yet attacks the hand that feeds the Sussexes? Who does that? Oh, right, TO and TOW. Why on earth should Netflix give a d*amn about them now when the two grifters haven't lived up to their part of the deal? Narcissists always play the victim...

If it was a "season launch" event, I wonder why the Harkles were not there. Surely TOW has a show to launch in the very near future. TOW would not pass up an opportunity to walk the red carpet. Were they not invited? If not, must be a blow to them that they were not invited by the very organization that is funding their ventures.

The source was either a Sussex staffer or Meghan, herself. The fact that Harry and Meghan were not present and they didn't issue any reason to the media why "they were unable to attend" this soiree before the event, they were not invited.
The "poor us" article shows up in the DM. That was a stupid move, it reinforces the fact that they simply are not liked nor relevant in Hollywood nor Netflix.

Laurent, JOachim, and Harry could start a Spare club, where they all get together and whinge about how it's all unfair and so on. I'd suggest their respective wives get together as well, but I don't think CLaire and Marie would trust TOW and TOW wouldn't do it because she won't get anything from it.

I missed the announcement that Laurent would be attending. So Joachim and Marie....wonder how much Harry twisted their arms to attend or promised a payout.

I think the organizers are desperate, I've read ticket sales have been abysmal so far and will get worse now that Meghan will grace IG with her presence.

Of course Meghan crashed the party. She doesn't have an iota of etiquette nor tact. This was an opportunity to try to hustle people for her "new" podcast

Notice she's only in one photo and that's sitting at the table. Kerry Washington was far from impressed, I'm sure. She doesn't like Meghan at all.

And that one photo was meant to be all about those doughnuts and not about TOW. Those things look delicious. TOW? Just a blurry bit of background.

Tudor thinks she showed up as someone's plus one. He suggests she heard about the party and managed to pursuade a real guest to bring her along.
