I don't believe the story. First of all, the "source" for the information is a person who was "once close" to Andrew.
If the King is bailing Andrew out, why did he give the okay to remove priceless furniture and artifacts from Royal Lodge or agree with the Crown Estates? The angle of the story is Charles is making sure Royal Lodge is in tip top shape for Camilla to live in if Charles should predecease her. It goes back to Charles being the bad guy.

I believe Camilla when dowager queen would remain in Clarence House, and she has her own country property.

No, I don't have an acct. with the DM and I tried my link again and it worked on my browser. If the story appears in the DM, I'm sure it will appear in the Daily Express tomorrow. I did a search to see if any other tabloids have the story so I could repost and none of the other tabloids are carrying it right now.
What you mentioned about Camilla having her own property makes sense as does Clarence House. Why would Camilla want to live at Royal Lodge?
The article just brought up the points I mentioned and then it was the usual rehash. I'm sorry you aren't able to bring up the story.

The article makes it sound like Andrew is friendless and penniless, which is not true. He may not be doing deals for the British economy and government, but he still has contacts and his own circle of friends. He also has two very wealthy sons-in-law.

Charles should just let this one go.

Sounds like something straight out of "Lady Whistledown's column" from Bridgerton. The source that was once close to Andrew, seems to have dropped Andrew like a hot potato, but doesn't have a problem dishing dirt on Andrew and Charles. As for the discreet people passing on the so-called info, they aren't so discreet by flapping their mouths and knowing it will be passed to the press.
When ever a story has "sources" or worse, "discreet sources", it's false. It's been a while since the DM has brought up the Andrew/Charles feud so they needed something to retain interest.

Did Charles start moving treasures out of Royal Lodge because he was concerned Andrew would start selling them? I posted an article that said Charles was moving pieces out because he was concerned they weren't being properly cared for and would become moldy because the lodge had a mold problem. But what if Charles got a whiff of something being offered for sale?

I would hope Andrew would have better sense than to try to sell anything in Royal Lodge I know his "sense" is up for questioning, but I would think he would know with a certainty that he couldn't do that.

Maybe Beatrice and Edo are looking to take a wing of the house and make it into a country-ish retreat for themselves. Edo redecorating the house would also explain any artwork on loan being returned.

I thought a son-in-law would step up.

You were right. It does make sense that the renovations would be done by Edo. My guess is that the artwork was removed to prevent damage, but also it may have been due for cleaning and restoration/preservation work.

Royal Lodge is huge --- more than Andrew and Fergie need. I think Edo might make wings for himself and Beatrice, and also Eugenie and Jack. A large playroom and also an outdoor play area would be needed. There's more than enough square footage to make a multi-generational home with separate living areas.
