Australia visit ends on positive note

For Buckingham Palace, this was the ideal ending to the royal tour of Australia.

Thousands of people were out on the streets of Sydney on Tuesday, eager to see King Charles and Queen Camilla, set against the iconic Opera House in the late afternoon sunlight.

Queen Camilla visited Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney. The Queen is Patron of UKHarvest.

The Queen also visited Sydney’s Green Square public library where she met with authors and students.

The King and Queen also visited a BBQ.

The King visited a melanoma clinic in Sydney where he met cancer survivors and researchers working on cures for the illness.

I think Charles and Camilla did a magnificent job. No missteps. Their visit was polished, warm, and engaging.

I'm impressed by Camilla's actions. She didn't have gloves or a handbag and seemed relaxed and interested in everything. A real asset to Charles. He seemed relaxed and happy to be there, too.

The King and Queen had a fantastic visit. You could tell by the crowd sizes and enthusiasm.

The King has announced a new Foundation

The King’s Foundation Australia. The charity’s first project will be as the custodian of the Hillview Estate in Sutton Forest, New South Wales, working to restore the historic property and its surrounding land.
