Temperature of 88° with relative humidity at 86% equals a heat index of 105°.

I can't remember the last time we weren't under a heat advisory.

I had new windows install yesterday, the house felt like a sauna during the process.

Ugh. That sounds miserable.

We're under yet another red flag warning today. The fire potential is extremely high and we have bad air warnings, too.

Southeast Florida.

In addition to the heat, we've been getting rain several times a day. My back yard looks like a tropical rainforest, everything has grown so much.

I'm in metro Atlanta. Our "heat" had gotten cooler starting this week. We've been getting light rain showers from the approaching Francine...especially today.

Here in the UK we are having an Artic Blast. Wind directly from the North (Artic) and it's been forecast for the next few days.

Luckily we just finished up a heat wave: 108-112 degrees, only getting down to about 85 at night... Just awful! But not as bad as a few years ago, when it got up to 121. I've never liked this hot weather in Southern California.

We had a reprieve last week with temps in the 70's, but it's gotten hot again, however the humidity is low. The humidity going back up tomorrow and it's going to be miserable again. My niece wants me to move to Kennesaw with my sister and I said, "No way!" I can't handle the heat and humidity in the Upper Plains, the Southeast is way off limits for me.
