Message from the Princess of Wales

The Princess of Wales has spoken of her relief at completing her course of chemotherapy. She is expected to return at a handful of events later this year.

Oh my, that brought up a tear. This was a beautiful video but not just because it was good to see HRH again. The family is relaxed and happy together, the children have grown and the message of being grateful for good health is a solid one that resonates with everyone. But I'm a bit troubled that Catherine didn't say she was given the "all clear" from her doctors, only that she completed her chemo.

OH, that brought a tear to my eye also. The video was beautiful and the Princess of Wales is looking better. Still not back to where she was, but improving. It will be good to see her out and about again when she feels up to it. I am sure many are breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Awesome and very welcome news from HRH. A beautiful video and certainly told from the heart. I continue to pray for her total recovery from this awful disease. So far, so good. May her path continue to go forward in the most positive way.

What a warm, loving, beautiful video. I think this has deepened Catherine and William's relationship. The children are growing like crazy and the family is so close.

Catherine has the love of her husband,her family,her friends, and, dare I say it, the love of her country and so many around the world. She's got this.

The statement concerning Catherine was put out (correctly) to the media and "critics" (Sussex Lumps) who would be harping about Catherine returning to Royal duties/engagements. The media was already speculating when Catherine would be "returning to work" after the video was released, both in the UK and here in the US.

The Middletons have been there for each of their children. They've been a rock for Catherine, William and the kids, but are very discreet. They've also been fiercely loyal to the Royal Family while being very discreet. They are an asset. I should add both James and Pippa have been the same.

Carole and Michael stepped up and helped out. William was hit with both his wife and his father getting cancer and he had to suddenly shoulder so much more. We know Anne,Tim, Edward, and Sophie stepped up to help out with more official engagements, and Carole, Michael, Pippa,her husband,and James and his wife helped out on the homefront. The kids clearly have a close relationship with their grandparents,too.

Sorry, I couldn't fit the whole quote in. What a nasty, sour grapes article by Richard Eden who can't stop being so full of himself. Again, Palace "insiders and friends of the King and Queen", I don't believe it at all. This is all Eden, who has his knickers in a wad because Catherine didn't go the Sainted Diana route in his opinion.
He's the only person that has criticized the video that I know of.

A number of DM columnists have been snarky about the video.

And much of the snark is coming from the same people who were screaming "Where's Kate? We need to see her. We need to hear her to know that she's okay".

Now they are upset because William and Catherine are not using the traditional methods of communicating through press releases and statements from the "Grey Men". Well, if that's what they wanted, they shouldn't have complained when that was what they were receiving.

Eden and the others making this fuss forget Catherine hasn't received an "all clear" from her medical team. It's heading towards autumn and winter, peak times for various illnesses. They're basing how Catherine should carry on post chemo to Charles return to engagements, which he still has limitations.
