Just curious. Where's the Queen? Haven't seen her in any pictures of the church service last Sunday, at Castle Mey and the Games or in these pictures.

I think Camilla takes this part of the break to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

I think Camilla and her family spend time at Raymill. It's a very private time for her.

In one of the photos he looks a lot like the Duke of Kent.

Is it the second photo in the top row? He does rather look like the Duke.

I like the colorful stole the minister is wearing. There was nothing like that when I grew up in the Lutheran Church.

In the Church of Scotland the stole is a liturgical vestment that symbolizes the minister is an ordained minister.

It's the same in any liturgical church denomination. I think Carolyn is talking about this specific stole. Most stoles aren't so colorful as this one. The only time I've seen designs like this one is when the stole is a personal gift for the minister/priest.

I didn't make myself clear. The minister in my Lutheran church wore a plain stole each Sunday. Most of the time it was green. There was a small cross at the ends, but nothing fancy.

The other churches in town were Baptist and Methodist. Their ministers wore ordinary suits no vestments.

Can you believe I taught Sunday School my senior year in high school?
