They featured Eric Liddell on Sporting Witness last pm on the World Service. Great personal and sporting story. I still watch Chariots of Fire whenever it comes on TCM, the best movie.

He has a strong connection with Edinburgh as he lived with his parents here and also attened the University of Edinburgh. There an Eric Liddell Centre based in the Morningside area of Edinburgh that is a charity committed to enhance health and well-being and have a positive impact on lives.

I'm sure Eric is a favorite son of Edinburgh. The charity in his name is would have been approved by Eric. It carries out his faith and charitable values.
