I love Queen Margrethe's dress and Mary's gown. Sadly, only Princess Christina will be able to attend the celebrations this weekend. The King's remaining 3 sisters are unable to attend due to health and mobility issues.

Everyone looks lovely. The jewels! The bling! The sparkle! Is it just me or does Christopher O'Neill look like he is barely tolerating the whole ordeal in all the pictures from all the events.

Chris does look like he'd rather be doing something else. Declining the offer of a title when he married Madeline was the right call. He didn't want to be a working royal and felt (rightly) that remaining a commoner would be the right thing for him to continue in his professional life.

I don't think they would have offered him a title anyway. Sweden doesn't create new titles any more.

I think Chris becomes uncomfortable with Royal events and so may wish they would just get "over with." He did look happier when Daniel went over and was talking with him...Chris may feel a little like the outsider, even after all these year.

Ok, please forgive me if this is s subject previously discussed on the board, because it is quite possible I missed it--BUT does anyone else think that Queen Anne-Marie has possibly suffered a stroke? Her droopy eye and lop-sided smile in more than one photo look like text book stroke symptoms to me.

Her lopsided smile is a family characteristic. Queen Alexandra had it, Queen Mary had it (Alix and May were second cousins), a lot of the Greek princesses (granddaughters of George I) had it.
