What a wonderful service. I was so happy to see the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the Princess Royal and Sir Timothy Laurence there along with the King and Queen. The King paid a lovely tribute to his mother , too, and I saw no fashion disasters.

In the photos of the reception, I noticed the princess royal wearing a triple-strand pearl necklace. I don't think I've ever seen her with this one --it must be one of her mother's. Very sweet!

She's worn it at least once before. I think HM gave away pieces of her jewelry collection before she died and this necklace is one of the things Anne received.

The Princess of Wales booch was originally a gift to the then Princess Alexandra on her marriage to the then Prince of Wales from "the Ladies of North Wales" and is the Prince of Wales feathers encircled in a oval frame.

The Queen wore the Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch which previously had been worn by the late Queen.

They are both beautiful brooches, and confirms that the late Queen did, indeed, divide up her jewelry collection before her death.
