Members of the Royal Family are hoping that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be ‘seated in Iceland’ if they attend the Coronation service as expected.

Harry and Meghan have been invited and are expected to be at the event on May 6, but many family members are privately telling friends that they will give them the ‘cold shoulder’.

A friend of the family said: ‘They will be given the cold shoulder by very many relatives. One said to me, “I hope they’ll be seated in Iceland.”

‘Many of the family just want nothing more to do with them. If they have to see them at the Coronation then so be it, but they do not want to socialise with them.’

I hope they're seated behind a candle again, or better yet, a pillar. I love the comment that people should hold up signs, "We Want Our Privacy".
I'm sure more than one person will yell something about "todger".
This will all happen after the paperback will have been released in Apr., nice and fresh.

I'm glad Mrs. Hyatt wrote to the King, I think his father and brother, even while being furious with him, should be concerned. I'm have no way of knowing, but by the appearance of his dilated pupils on at least two occasions plus his behavior, I think he's addicted or rapidly becoming addicted to what...it could be any number of the drugs he's ingesting plus alcohol.
Ayahuasca is a Schedule I controlled substance by DEA classification as are "magic" mushrooms. In the same class as morphine, fentanyl, heroin, oxycontin, codeine, methadone, any of the opioids. In other words, the top of the narcotic chain.

And using "drug" and "drugged" in place of "drag" and "dragged".

Nobody was ever drugged through the mud; they were all dragged through it.

Yeah, that drives me crazy.

Ditto with "stood", as in "She was stood in the corner". The image I get is somebody picking up a woman and then plopping her down in that corner, rather than her getting there under her own steam.

Sat and stood are very common here in Britain. Stood is used to describe how a person is standing. "Harry was stood by the Whomping Willow as he watched the others flying on their brooms in the distance." Sat is to describe that, well, a person sat in the nearest chair, couch, on a bench etc etc. "Hermione sat in the chair beside the fire in the Gryffindor Common Room waiting for Harry and Ron to come down from their dorm."

She sat in the chair. No problem with that. Woman walked over and decided to occupy a chair.

She was sitting in the chair. She is sitting in the chair. She did sit in the chair. She has been sitting in the chair. She had been sitting in the chair. She will sit in the chair. She will have been sitting in the chair. I'm sure there's other examples.

But using sat or stood or any other past tense verb with the verb to be, nope, not what I was taught.

She was sat conveys the impression that somebody picked her up and plopped her in that chair.

Okay. Let me give an example of American English that can through me right out of any book or TV show I am either reading or watching.

"They were so pleased that they'd finally gotten to visit."

Sadly this has become very common here as we've become more and more Americanised.

To me that sentence should read: "They were so pleased they'd finally got (or 'managed') to visit."

Although that's format is correct in American and Canadian English, I agree it sounds clunky, so I usually try to find other words that express the same idea.

Hooray! Finally, somebody who acknowledges that Charles could have issued new LPs.

Quoted from the very end of the article:

It was previously reported in 2021 that Charles, in a bid to limit the number of key royals, intended, when he became monarch, to prevent Archie becoming a prince.

To do so, he would have to issue a Letters Patent amending Archie's right to be a prince and Lili's right to be a princess.
