Continuing "eviction" saga

Rebecca English article which raises the question as to whether Harry would be owed compensation from the Crown Estates because he repaid CE money spent of the renovations under the impression (or promise?) that he would be able to rent the cottage for a longer period of time.

They aren't being evicted. Their lease was not renewed. Charles isn't kicking them out. The Crown Estate owns the property. Of course we all know this. The sugars are already hysterical. Why give them more fuel, DM, by deliberately giving false information?

Oh, and if I were the Crown Estate management team, I'd give any monies owed to Harry and Meghan to charity. You know, because the Sussexes want everyone to be more kind.

Do you really think the Crown Estate management decided all on their own that the lease wouldn't be renewed?

Of course Charles is behind the decision. I doubt any properties on the Windsor Estate are leased without the approval of the monarch.

No, but officially and legally it's the Crown Estate that has taken the action. Unofficially it's Charles who said yep, they're out. But the media should at least get the official version right...

First of all, the media and the Lumps are stating Frogmore Cottage was a gift from the Queen, no, the propery was given for "their use", meaning they were still responsible for the lease and the upkeep, etc. I'm sure in the agreement, there are provisions spelled out and I'm sure in there are provisions spelling out conditions concerning not renewing said lease or revoking the lease.
If my sister or a friend has a car and gives the car for "my use", I still have to take care of the car, maintenance, fuel, upkeep. The understanding between the Sussexes and the Crown Estate was that Frogmore Cottage would be their "home in the UK and repayment of the renovations was based on that fact..this is their UK home. Their statements concerning that the US is now home, will never return to the UK because of the racism, blah, blah, broke the good faith agreement.
The Crown Estate, as the "landlord" has/had the right not to renew the lease and you know there was communication between them and Charles. I'm not going to guess if it was first Charles or the other way around, but both parties were involved.
Concerning repaying the Sussexes the renovation money, I don't know about the UK. Here, if your lease is not renewed and say, you made improvements to an apt. or rental home, you're out of your money. For the little time that Harry and Meghan actually lived at the place from after their marriage until now really is not calling it their home in the UK. They just want it so they can use for Netflix filming. Oh, and maybe they didn't ask for permission to film at Frogmore Cottage...don't know, just throwing that out.

I don't think they were the source of the leak. The reason Scobie replied so quickly after the story dropped was because the Sun would have contacted both BP and Team Sussex before going to print. Rather than confirm the story to the Sun, they chose to have Scobie stir the pot.

The reason I don't think they are the source is because they need for people to consider them still part of the royal family. That connection is the only reason people hire them. They would have wanted to hide this news for as long as possible in the hopes of Charles changing his mind or offering them another property. Since Charles had extended the deadline until after the Coronation, this would have been the perfect story to drop then. Which could be why Team Charles wanted to get the news out now.

So maybe they were planning to drop the story on Coronation Day and this foiled their plan? Now they have to come up with something else to try to upstage The King?

Maybe the day after, the day of the concert. "We can't attend because we've been kicked out of Frogmore Cottage and have to pack up all our belongings."

If they don't show up for the Coronation, I expect them to release new photos of Archie and Lili that day.

One of the stories floating around is they plan to upstage the Coronation by throwing a HUGE birthday party for Archie...it would get coverage, but wouldn't upstage the Coronation. Even if it's a birthday party or releasing photo of the kids, it won't upstage the big UK event. It won't take the public by surprise...we're all used to the Sussexes pulling a PR happening when the Royal Family is in the spotlight.

$4200.00 a year for membership? I don't think so, add some more numerals.
Anyway, I posted because the DM states Harry and Meghan are "beaming"...it doesn't look that way to me. Even with Backgrid doing the shots, they aren't all that happy...particularly Harry. They've brought all the consequences on themselves.

Harry looks stoned and Meghan's doing her manic smile and talk to no one thing. Plus she looks really, really tired in some of the photos. And there's a wein popping out of her forehead, too. I think reality has finally slapped her in the face.
