Buckingham Palace have confirmed the King and family will spend Christmas at Sandringham

The King will host members of his wider family at Buckingham Palace in what seen as a return to a traditional royal Christmas.

I think Charles will have Andrew to stay for a few days, along with Beatrice and Eugenie and their families. Fergie, of course, won't be there. I doubt Andrew will walk to church with the others. I can't remember if Andrew walked last year.

Members of the wider family?

The King will host a pre-Christmas party at Buckingham Palace for members of his wider family (Gloucesters, Kents etc), just as his mother did pre 2020.

Thanks, Karen. I may have used the wrong phrase - "wider family" - was just quoting the article. I know who they meant. I was just questioning whether or not Andrew would be invited to participate at Sandringham since apparently HM didn't like it that Andrew socialized with Anne and Edward at the recent shooting party.

I'm not making a hard and fast prediction, but if Andrew is not invited to Sandringham for the Christmas celebration, it would be extremely petty on the part of Charles. He can discreetly arrive at Sandringham or he really could drive up and be seen arriving by the press...it's a private family celebration of the holiday. To leave him out would further hurt and embarrass Beatrice and Eugenie.
I don't see Andrew attending the Christmas luncheon which as I stated above, there's no reason for him not to attend, except for viewing the Royal Family members arrive and depart, the luncheon is a private celebration. I hope I'm proven wrong and we see Andrew at the luncheon and he goes to Sandringham. If he is at Sandringham, we won't see him walk with the family to Christmas morning service.

I see that Christmas is on Sunday this year. I believe the Queen would attend the regular Sunday service. Few of the others did. They attended the special Christmas service that was later. It will be interesting to see how many folks show up to watch the Royals go to church.

The Queen would always attend the early morning service on Christmas and receive Communion, then join the others at the later Mass, also.
