My jaw dropped. Catherine is absolutely stunning in that gown. Magnificent! Camilla also looks great. The sapphire parure looks beautiful on her, even without the drop usually seen with the necklace.

Kate wears the family order of Queen Elizabeth II (on the yellow ribbon) and the sash and star of a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Carolyn: Catherine received the Family Order in 2017 and the Dame Grand Cross Order in 2019

WOW! The jewels, tiaras, and gowns are wonderful to see. Sapphires are my absolute favorite jewels and Camilla looks wonderful in them. Catherine's dress is magnificent!

As members of the Royal Family arrived at the Palace tonight, all eyes were drawn to the Princess of Wales, who stunned onlookers with her dazzling outfit topped off with Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara.

The sparkling number once belonged to Princess Diana and it is now perhaps Kate's most favored piece of royal jewellery.

Rebecca English just loves making a fool of herself. The Lover's Knot tiara did NOT belong to Diana - she was given the use of it while married to Charles.

I'm so sick of the references to "tributes" to Diana every time Catherine wears a piece from the royal collection that Diana wore during her marriage.

I see Camilla wasted no time in trying out a new tiara.

I thought the sapphire parure looked good on Camilla. And at least the tiara wasn't the Vlad or the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland.

It will be interesting to see if Catherine retains the use of items loaned to her during the Queen's lifetime. I'm guessing no. The bracelet she's wearing is rather lowkey compared to the diamond ones she's worn before.

Surprised that Charles hasn't handed out his own family order yet.

The Princess of Wales is just jaw dropping stunning and regal. I usually don't like the cape thingy dresses and gowns, but the gown is beautiful. Queen Camilla was gorgeous in blue and love the Belgian Sapphire Necklace Tiara, when the late QEII wore it, it looked off. Camilla, with her full hair style, has worn it to perfection.
The Countess of Wessex was perfection as well and the Duchess of Gloucester, from what I could view of her, didn't disappoint.

I am hoping that the presence of the Gloucesters and the Duke of Kent is evidence that the King is reconsidering his intention of 'slimming' the monarchy.

I think she will. Camilla has a vast jewelry collection to hand now and she won't miss the items Catherine was loaned.

I thought she chose a more low-key bracelet because the dress itself is so spectacular.

The Royal ladies looked drool-worthy in their tiaras, other jewels and their gowns. The tiara Camilla wore looked spectacular on her with her beautiful hair-do. Catherine's dress was perfection and Sophie's tiara was just the one for her tonight. It cheered me considerably to see them out in their jewels and finery! Just what we needed for a cold Tuesday evening!

President Ramaphosa is clearly enjoying himself and Edward seems to have an easy rapport with him. The President is an extraordinary person and I hope his visit strengthens the ties between the two countries.

Yes, yesterday and today the President has appeared to have a warm relationship with the Royal Family along with the members of his party traveling with him.
The thing with the Royal Family is that every leader is treated the same on a visit, whether it be the President of SA, President of the US, PM of Canada, other visiting Kings/Queens etc. I could go on and on...they all are give a warm and gracious welcome with a State Banquet or formal dinner plus engagements planned for each particular leader. For Democracies as well as Dictators.
