The Queen Will Not Receive The Trooping The Color Salute

"The Queen will not take the royal salute at the Trooping the Colour next month for the first time in 70 years, as she continues to delegate responsibility to senior members of The Firm.

Her Majesty's birthday, on June 2nd, has historically seen the monarch's personal troops, the Household Division on Horse Guards Parade, with the Queen herself attending and taking the salute.

Instead this year, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and the Princess Royal will ride on the parade as colonels of the Welsh Guards, the Irish Guards and the Blues and Royals."

However other news sites are reporting, such as the one below, that Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne may take the royal salute instead of The Queen. Also that The Queen may travel from Buckingham Palace in a carriage to inspect the troops and will then retire, leaving Charles, William and Anne on horseback at the parade.

I really hope the Queen will be present for some part of this. I think she's always enjoyed it.

My hunch is that she'll be on the balcony for the flyover. Climbing in and out of a carriage is out.

I don't really see this happening but would like to see the Queen be present for the Trooping, using the buggy we have now seen at Chelsea Flower Show, on a dais.
Being seated to take the salute might rule out using the buggy but I would hope not.
