"Sarah Ferguson has claimed the judgement she felt over her weight and looks has made her sympathise with the LGBTQ+ community because she's learned 'what it's like to be segregated.'
The Duchess of York, 62, who is commonly known as Fergie, told Metro she still struggles with her body image and that her weight is still a 'trigger point', ahead of publishing her first young adult novel next month.
The novel, titled Demons Land, is part of a 22-book deal the Duchess of York signed with Australian based publisher, Serenity Press and will be co-authored by Michelle Worthington." "Sarah was 12 at the time and revealed in the interview she felt her hair was so bad, she thought her mother left the family because she could not bear to look at it.
Fergie grew up with this guilt, and when she entered the limelight in the 1980s at Prince Andrew's wife, the comments about her looks intensified and so did her anxiety.
Sarah has previously opened up about developing issues with eating as a child, turning to food for comfort when her mother left.
Speaking on a podcast with ayurvedic doctor and naturopath Dr Vijay Murthy, she said: 'I was a binge-eater. I never could get bulimia because I just didn't have that mental state to go that far, but I always wished I could.
'But that just shows you how dangerous and what place I got to. To wish you could have a mental illness to that level is a very serious place to get to.'
Asked how she got into such a state, she replies: 'My body and mind was in that place, but I couldn't actually act out to make myself sick.'"
Well, now Sarah's on the mental illness bandwagon. To be fair, the media really went out of it's way to bully and fat shame Sarah especially when she was pregnant with Beatrice, to label her the "Duchess of Pork" was absolutely cruel and uncalled for. I remember I felt terrible for Sarah at the time, that was awful. Now with this book deal, all of this "new" info is coming out. I just wish Sarah would be real for once, and not embellish about how "hard" her life was.
I think she's a narcissist that sees herself as an empath.
It would explain her constant rewriting of her history (the multiple reasons she gives for her divorce, her denial that she had affaires), her tendency to make major events all about her (September 11th, carrying on about not being invited to William's wedding and constantly calling Andrew on his cell phone before and during it) and her overall inability to learn from her mistakes.
Well to be fair, (unsubstantiated) gossip has it that some of her purported “affairs” were with guys who weren’t the marrying kind. It’s like saying QEQM had affairs with Cecil Beaton and Backstairs Billie.
The ones she's denied were with Steve Wyatt and John Bryan. So, I guess in Fergie's world, one holds meetings with one's financial advisor topless, and the deal is sealed with foot fondling and nuzzling.
