Special Roles For Lady Louise And The Queen's Great Grandchildren At The Jubilee Horse Show Revealed

"New details about the Royal Windsor Horse Show have just been announced. Lady Louise, daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, will drive her late grandfather’s carriage during the show in recognition of her grandparents’ contributions to the world of equestrianism.

The late Prince Philip took up the sport of carriage driving after he stopped playing polo, becoming a major contributor to the development of the sport. His granddaughter has grown up sharing the love of the sport and inherited his carriage and ponies following his death last year at the age of 99.

The Queen’s great-grandchildren will appear at the final night of the Royal Windsor Horse Show in tribute to their great-grandmother’s Platinum Jubilee. Roya Nikkhah, the royal reporter for The Sunday Times, revealed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Mia Tindall, Lena Tindall, Lucas Tindall, August Brooksbank and Sienna Mapelli Mozzi will appear in a horse-drawn carriage in the show finale during a section called ‘A Gallop Through History’ that celebrates The Queen’s reign and love of horses."

That's all going to be so special for HM.

James is rumored to be on the autism spectrum, and Sophie and Edward seem to be taking a different approach to his involvement in public events than to how they handled Louise's participation. The great-grands that were mentioned seem to have a lot more confidence in front of the public.

I hadn't read any rumors about him, but I have to say I'd wondered. When I watch videos of him, I notice he walks awkwardly and holds his hands tightly curled.

The autism thing was discussed here awhile ago--Susan provided the info. I'd thought it was Louise who had the issues, but it's James. I always thought he was a bit nervy in front of the cameras, but didn't connect the dots.

He's not a great-grandchild.

Perhaps he'll be the one chosen to escort the Queen at St Paul's, since he's the only unmarried grandson.

I wondered because his sister has a role in what's being planned, but so far he doesn't. I love the idea of him escorting his grandmother.

Lady Louise competes in carriage driving. We have no knowledge as to how whether her brother is interested in horses.

True. It also occurred to me that Peter Phillips is now divorced, so he might escort HM. But I'd love it if James did the honors.

Peter is somewhat "tainted" because of his various business deals, as is Zara. I don't think either of them will play a prominent role.

I expect that the great grandchildren that attended Philip's memorial will also attend the service at ST Paul's, so Peter will need to escort his children. They're not the best behaved of the great grandchildren, especially when with their cousin Mia.

According to royal editor Roya Nikkhah, writing in The Sunday Times, all of Her Majesty's UK-based great-grandchildren will take part in the special event at the final performance of 'Gallop Through History' during the Royal Windsor Horse Show, on 15th May.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Savannah and Isla Phillips, Princess Eugenie's son August Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice's daughter Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, and Zara Tindall's children Lena, Lucas and Mia Tindall will take part.

Lady Louise is to drive the carriage used by her grandfather Prince Philip. Perhaps James will sit alongside her on that carriage. That would be nice to see.

Which little cousins?

It appears that there are four benches, and each bench will hold three, maybe four children. Looks like the carriage is pull by four horses, with the two horses on the left-hand side carrying riders.
