I've used March 7 as the date because it's almost the 7th over in Britain and the DM has already released articles from the Mail on Sunday

The Queen had several private conversations with Harry in the preceding weeks in which she explained it would be impossible for him and Meghan to keep their patronages if they confirmed they were staying away from official duties.

But the statement announcing the move, released by Buckingham Palace on February 19, was potentially explosive from the Royal Family’s perspective – and risked the sort of on-screen reaction that US viewers are likely to see tonight.

References to ‘a life of public service’ were a particular bone of contention for Harry who served on two tours of Afghanistan with the British Army.

The couple are also thought to have been upset that the Queen chose to sign off her announcement by saying ‘we are all saddened by their decision’ rather than wishing them well for the future.

The timing also caused anger, given that a review of the couple’s decision to step back from Royal duties wasn’t due until later this month.

Well, we already knew that. They were hoping to do the interview and when subsequently it was announced that they would be losing the patronages and military titles, they could claim they were being punished for doing the interview.

Yep. They would have said kind and loving things if only the Queen hadn't been so mean and cruel.

A number of YouTubers who comment on the Sussexes believe that Trevor was Meghan's second husband. The story goes that the first marriage took place while she was at university and that it was annulled.

In Illinois, an annulment is a judicial determination that a valid marriage never existed. One of the parties must file with the court a petition for invalidity of marriage. There are four grounds for annulment in Illinois:

Inability to consent to marriage, for example as a result of mental disability, intoxication, force, duress or fraud;
One spouse cannot have sexual intercourse, with that fact being unknown to the other spouse at the time of marriage;
One spouse was under the age of 18, and married without the consent of a parent, legal guardian, or court; and
The marriage was illegal, such as in the case of bigamy or certain close blood relationships.

Since basically an annulment is granted if there was an impediment preventing the couple from contracting a valid marriage, it's technically incorrect to count the event as a marriage.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I believe Murky Meg has also referred to Meghan having been married twice before marrying Harry, but I'm not in the mood to listen to all the old video to fact check. I could be confusing her with Celt Views.

It's interesting to note that over past few days there have been just as many comments from US readers expressing a dislike or disinterest in Harry and Meghan. The media in the US and UK are bent on presenting the picture that the Harkles are practically on a pedestal here because the public is stark raving in love with them. They have fans, but not the whole population.

Lots of celebrities who don't know Meghan are coming out in support of her, which leads me to the cynical thought that the real reason she's doing this interview isn't because she's "finally free," but because she needs to drum up business and wants the cash.

I don't usually agree with Candace Owens, but in this case she nails it.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex last night insisted their interview with Oprah Winfrey would be the 'last word' on their rift with the Royal Family.

The couple, who are preparing to welcome their second child later this year, said they felt they 'needed to have their say' but now considered the matter closed and wanted to 'move on'.

No they won't. Meghan always has to have the last word. Their "friends" will be out in force "setting the record straight" if anybody dares to disagree with "their truth".
