The Annual Clarence House Christmas Tree Decorating

Keen to continue her annual tradition, The Duchess of Cornwall had a little virtual help from children supported by Helen & Douglas House Hospice to decorate the Clarence House Christmas tree.

I love how Camilla acted with the children It was great to have a Guard there to put the decorations on the tree. I'm glad they didn't cancel it.

Beautifully carried out! I was half expecting the guard Charlie to be Charles, which would have been a hoot.

What was in the bag? Two ornaments (guardsman and corgi), a card with a note from Camilla and some Walker’s shortbread cookies? What else could be in there?

I never thought of the Guard being Charles, but that would have been funny. I know there is one every year. I don't know how many children come each year, but remember they were served bangers and mash for lunch. Cookies, too, of course.

I'm so glad this event was able to be held. I'm sure Camilla was concerned if it could take place and if there were ways to hold it. I think this annual gathering is very important to her.
