I'm not impressed. The "donation" went to a celebrity chef who just happened to be a nominee for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. I can see where their "donations" are going, they'll go to trendy causes run by prominent people/celebs, sure to get the press attention. Donating to such "lowly" causes such as the Salvation Army or St. Vincent de Paul Society or the organizations who've worked with the poor or during disasters for years and years isn't bougie enough.
I love that the press still hauls out the 90,000 pound donation they supposedly made, it wasn't their money.

I'm posting this in the Sussex thread because we're all going to howl at the calligraphy notes to the Cambridge kids. Because what kid doesn't want a note written in a font they can't read. No word on whether or not the messages were on fruit.

BP had "no comment" which means they didn't release the information in the first place. It wouldn't make sense for them to release the information to the press and then have no comment, and BP isn't quoted as being the primary source of the information. That does narrow it down, doesn't it?

Splash U.K. has since gone into administration but has agreed not to take unauthorised photos of the Sussexes should it come out of administration in the future." Which means nothing happened, the Harkles got nothing out of the suit.

It was a lawsuit solely designed to gain them sympathy. Someone they knew had arranged for those shots. It was a setup from the start. Well, they "won," sort of, bt didn't get the sympathy and coverage they wanted. In other words, it's just another failure notch on Meghan's publicity belt.

Splash UK filed for administration on July 1st, immediately after Meghan filed the lawsuit. I think the whole thing with Archie was a PR stunt on Meghan's part and then when she got criticism for it, she turned on Splash UK, they got her in the end. There was no victory.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official Christmas snap is 'on its way,' a royal correspondent has claimed.

Omid Scobie, who is the co-author of the bombshell biography Finding Freedom, which offers a window into the Sussexes' life during their time as senior royals, has reported that an official festive photograph alongside 18-month-old Archie, is expected.

It seems the royal couple, who are currently living in their $14 million mansion in California with their son, will be carrying on the tradition despite stepping back as senior royals in March.

Gee, Omid, you don't have to be a royal to send out Christmas cards with family photos on them.

I predict the photo will be in black and white, with Meghan beautifully highlighted, Harry just a face inn the background, and Archie represented by just his left pinkie. There will be strategically-placed decorations Meghan is merching and the nessage will an unattributed quote from some author Meghan considers "woke."

As usual Dickie Arbeiter is correct. What the tabloids keep conveniently omitting is the money from the Spotify deal will be over "several years", the same terms as the Netflix deal. I'm sure they received an advance payment which probably has already been spent and then some.

I was going to say, the Harkles already put out their "tell all"/whine book. They're in no way in the league of the Obamas. Harry was acquainted with the President and especially the former FLOTUS through the Invictus Games, Meghan had no such relationship with either Obama until she married Harry and then pushed herself on the Obamas especially Michelle.

Right, a few things about that card. First, I'm guessing the actual photo wasn't taken in front of a play cottage on their estate. I bet it was taken in front of a garden shed, with the chair on one side. I'm guessing the artist was told to paint an English-looking cottage instead, complete with garlands around it. Second, the Christmas bows look like they were Photoshopped in after the fact--they don't exactly line up and aren't scaled correctly, not to mention they are shiny while the rest of the painting is matte. Third, the artist seems to have been told to take creative license with Archie's facial features. Meghan looks like Meghan, Harry looks--mostly--like Harry, but Archie just looks indistinct and blurred. The dogs look good--and that's the best I can say about this card.

Do not get me started on the Sussexes' trumpeting about more charities they've donated to for Christmas. That's just plain tacky. Who does that?? It's clearly an attempt to upstage the Cambridges, who do actual real charity work, but it's backfired. The Sussexes come across as pretentious, more-woke-than-thou poseurs.

I think Kendra's correct, it's not really a drawing by a person, it's a filter or special effect found on smartphones. Why couldn't they have had a photo of Harry and Meghan sitting on their garden bench and Archie playing with the dogs or them playing with Archie on a swing set or something? So much for Omid Scoobie's announcement of a Christmas snap from the Harkles.
