I was glued to the tv watching the wedding of the century. I think I tuned in at 5 AM (I live in Connecticut). I'm not sure what was going on at the moment. I think commentators were talking about the guest arriving. I thought Diana's dress was a bit "fussy" and was relieved when her father successfully walked her down the aisle. It was a wonderful thing to watch.
On this day, I was in the midst of a very bad bout of gastroentritus and was a "guest" of Lutheran Hospital at the time. I was the only patient up at that time of themorning and I watched the whole thing from my bed. The nurses would come in from time to time to watch, too.
Martha, I remember you writing about your fractured arm and how you fell. Unlike Wyle E. Coyote, you hit the wall after the collision with your dog and not hit by an anvil made by Acme., or did the dog have an Acme tag on.
Ha!Ha! Seriously, when I broke my arm at work, the pain was so bad, I was hoping I could just die there and then due to the pain. Roadrunner and Wyle E. Coyote plus Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd are still my favorites.
