I'm not sure what to make of this. I don't think this is just the earl trying to make a buck off his sister's memory. He says he wants to clear up some misconceptions and lies that have been accepted as gospel. There is some guilt at play here, as Earl Spencer refused his sister a place to retreat to when she needed it so she went to the Mediterranean with Dodi instead. He's had that hanging over his head for 30 years, so this might be him accepting blame and apologizing to his sister. It could also be him blaming King Charles for everything.
William's reaction will largely depend on what's in the book. It should be an interesting read.
