I agree with everything you wrote, but it needs to be added that Delphine had a relationship with Albert until he became king, then he cut stopped all contact. So she lost two fathers, both alive but neither wanted to have anything to do with her. Why they both decided that Delphine had to be out of their lives is the unanswered question.
