There are so few still alive that can speak firsthand of their experiences during that horrible, dark period of history. Those of us who were raised by the Greatest Generation can repeat the stories we were told and uphold the values we were raised with, but as we age the younger generation really isn't interested in learning lessons from what the world already suffered through. I'm afraid the torch will be allowed to burn out.
