I like tradition and custom, but there comes a time when you have to get with reality. If Japan's wish is to continue with a monarchy then they're going to have to make changes in terms of male/female succession to their Throne. Heck, they even throw out the royal females who dare to marry a non-royal. That's just crazy in today's world. What if Hisahito doesn't get married or if he does he only has daughters which happened to his own parents until they did whatever they did to produce him. Or if he only has 1 child and it's female as happened with the current Emperor? Then what? Saner Japanese voices need to get with the program.
