The Bible used for the Coronation Oath is now held in the library at Lambeth Palace. However, an identical copy was presented to HM The Queen after the Coronation.
The gown was designed by Norman Hartnell. It took 8 months of research, design and workmanship to create. The silk used to make the gown was obtained from silk farm at Lullingstone Castle. The dress required the efforts of at least three dressmakers, the Royal School of Needlework and six embroiders responsible for the embroidery worked in gold bullion thread.
