MAF was co-founded by former Second World War RAF squadron leader Jack Hemmings who died in January aged 103. The King marked the 80th anniversary of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) at RAF Northolt unveiling a new aircraft that will deliver aid to remote regions in Papua New Guinea. He also marked Papua New Guinea's 50th anniversary of independence during the visit.
