A wonderful piece by Beatrice. My mother had not one, but two preterm births, medicine has come a long way since pre-1960, but there still is a lot more work to be done.
I kind of wondered when Beatrice suddenly wasn't allowed to fly to Italy for Christmas and then she delivered in Jan. instead of the announced spring birth. A lot can change during a pregnancy as we know.
