1919 - Princess Patricia of Connaught married naval Commander Alexander Ramsay. The Wedding was the first royal wedding held at Westminster Abbey since Richard II married Anne of Bohemia in 1382. Princess Patricia was granted by Royal Warrant to relinquish the style of Royal Highness and the title of Princess of Great Britain and Ireland. She was granted by the Royal Warrant the style of Lady Patricia Ramsay. Since the Royal Warrant stated that her change in style took effect only upon marriage, she entered as a Princess and Royal Highness and left as a Lady, a daughter of a royal duke.
Princess Patricia had eight bridesmaids and two page boys.
