1931 - Georg Donatus, Hereditary Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine married his first cousin-once-removed, Princess Cecilie of Greece and Denmark sister of Prince Philip. They were married at the Neue Palais in Darmstadt, Germany. The marriage was a double religious ceremony, both Orthodox and Lutheran.

The boy stood beside the bride is Prince Philip.
