Hugh Grant stated he took the settlement (even though he still whined about taking a settlement) because of the money involved. Not only if the judgement was lower than offered settlement, then he would have to pay all costs, but he had already spent $10 million on his legal fees.
It sounds as if the Justice is fed up with this case, well, it's dragged on forever. It's ridiculous. I suspect the monetary situation for Harry is iffy. His legal team costs plus his monetary penalties he's incurred by his stupidity.
