1908 - Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, later known as Princess Sibylla of Sweden, Duchess of Västerbotten was born. Sibylla was born at Schloss Friedenstein in the city of Gotha the second child and eldest daughter of Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and his wife Princess Victoria Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein. In 1919, her father was deprived of his British peerages, as a consequence of the Titles Deprivation Act of 1917, this caused Sibylla to lose her Title of Princess of the United Kingdom and the Style of Royal Highness. In 1931 she met her future husband Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten at the wedding of her cousin Lady May Cambridge. Sibylla and Gustaf married the following year in 1932. The marriage produced 5 children, The Haga Princesses and the current King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, who is their 5th child and only son.
