1925 - The funeral of HM Queen Alexandra, consort of HM King Edward VII took place. Queen Alexandra died at Sandringham from a heart attack in late November 1925 at the age of 80. The funeral was held at Westminster Abbey where she also lay in state. The following day, 28 November, her coffin was taken to Windsor for a private evening service and family burial.
