Those three foals have interesting backstories. Their mothers were besties, but this is the first year all three mares produced fillies.

The oldest, Blomke, arrived 5 days early. Her mother Saly showed no signs whatsoever that birth was imminent. Owner checked the barn camera when she woke up, nothing unusual. Got dressed, checked again, nothing unusual. Fed her children breakfast, checked the camera again. Went to the barn 15 minutes later to feed the horses, and there was Blomke, already standing and cantering around the stall.

Bella's bio mom Unike's last two pregnancies ended in a stillbirth and a miscarriage, so early in her pregnancy, the embryo was removed and transplanted into a surrogate mare, Coralle. Belle arrived 5 days late and was born with Dummy Foal Syndrome. She's fine now, but sadly her bio mom died 9 days after her birth.

Baukje arrived 12 days early, and her mother Reintje gave birth in the pasture!
