The video is from the BBC Sports Personality of Year event, which is held in December and was first held in 1954. The winner is the sportsperson, judged by a public vote, to have achieved the most that year. Her Royal Highness also won this award in the same year 1971. The other award which I posted about was awarded by the British Sportswriters' Association which is the Sports Journalists.
