"The Royal Family’s estate at Balmoral could soon be hosting weddings.

Plans have been submitted to turn one of the buildings there into a venue for marriages.

The submission, to Aberdeenshire Council, also requests permission to use the space for meetings as well as dinners and ”other events”.

The plans are for the Queen’s Building on the estate. It is currently used for visitors while the castle’s staff also use it as an events area.

The Queen’s Building stands just a few hundred yards from the main royal residence at Balmoral."
