1513 - The Battle of Flodden took place. It was a disaster for the Scots against the English. James IV King of Scots was killed along with the majority of the Scottish Nobility. A Scottish lament was written in memory called 'The Flower of The Forest' and was played at a Thanksgiving Service for the late Queen, 9th September 2022 at St Paul's Cathedral.
