I was 22 in 1981 and was my first really big royal event. Even though as a teen I had seen the Wedding of Princess Anne to Mark Phillips and experienced the first of the Queen's Jubilees, her Silver Jubilee. They had not been as big as the Wedding at St. Paul's Cathedral was. We all had such hope for the marriage back then.
