I agree with everyone's posts. Harry was spoiled and indulged by Diana and yes, she expected him to be treated as an equal to William, which was okay in private life, but much different in a Royal life as the second sibling. When Diana died, the spoiling and indulging continued, up until Diana's death, it was because Harry's parents were divorced after a public marital battle, then it was because Harry "tragically" lost his mother. (The media has conveniently forgotten William went through the same experiences).
Meghan certainly isn't solely to blame, but she saw she could manipulate Harry to exacerbate his feelings of "poor me". The media always treated Harry as the "cheeky chappy", I think that was also due to the Palace trying to put a positive spin on Harry. In reality, the Palace and perhaps the media knew the real Harry and what an absolute jerk he was that was kept from the public until Megxit and the years that have followed. Once Harry left the royal life, he felt the gloves were off, but the press took their gloves off as well. The Palace even took the gloves off as well. We all saw the real Harry.
I always wondered about Harry's complaint being the "coat tail and gooseberry" to William and Catherine. Was he really wanted to strike out on his own for his own projects or was it really that he was angry that he wasn't solely in the spotlight and had to share with Cambridges?
