In addition, Catherine not only paid for her clothes, but she presents a very put together, carefully styled look in respect to the work of the designer. Meghan wanted loaner/freebies, but the way she wore the clothes disrespected the designer's creation plus she didn't care if a gown, skirt or trousers were dragged along a dirty floor, street or the mud. Never mind the ill fits, extreme wrinkling and sweat stains.
The way Harry writes about it in the book, is that Meghan's thoughts about accepting "gifts" was something she was entitled to, especially since she was a Royal. Which is true. She's always demanded freebies and in addition, has always felt entitled to keep whatever she has a hankering for. The shoes she kept from Reitman's, the taking of clothes from the wardrobes at Suits.
One thing, the report about the bullying of the Sussex staff investigation. Harry did give it away in his book. He wrote that "they submitted a 500 page rebuttal or something around that number, to the claims, but "it wasn't even looked at", (Harry's words, more or less). He did let slip that the results were definitely not in their favor.
