Dr. Seigel is Internal Medicine, he's not a Surgeon, he hasn't been in an OR since he was a Med Student. If you want an analysis on Surgery, get a Surgeon. The other way around, you ask a Surgeon about diabetes, endocrine, or lupus, he/she will tell you, "not my gig. Go to the Internal guys/gals."
It makes me very uncomfortable that the Dr. is throwing out complications, something went wrong...he wasn't in the OR....for that matter neither was I. Maybe there were, but I wasn't there and it's not for me to say or even speculate. Dr. Siegel didn't intentionally mean it, I know, but he implied/inferred that the medical team may have made a medical error or mistake thus, there was something wrong with the Dr.s, OR staff, or Anesthesia. You can't imply that unless there are hard facts. As long as Catherine has an uncomplicated recovery and gets back to her normal life and her family, fine by me. If there was something, it's between herself, the medical team and the clinic.
