I think the awards started out as an idea with good intentions and then celebs decided they were going to get into the act. There are very notable people that were honored even Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, even though I roll my eyes, they have made gains in their space projects. Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise just because they're pilots? No. Now Lauren Sanchez is to be "honored", yeah, she's engaged to Jeff, that's all. Then there's Harry...starved for attention and PR.
Harry and his, "the military helped me to get over the pain of my mother's death...", well, it's interesting because the military and his "tour of duty" in Afghanistan brought about his excruciating PTSD, according to Harry. This was shot down by the former Commander of UK Forces in Afghanistan when he commented that where Harry was actually stationed, hundreds of miles from combat, Harry's claim of PTSD would have been impossible. That also shot down his claim of killing 25 Taliban. Harry was in the military, but he didn't do anything in Afghanistan, he'd flunked his written tests and some accounts state his flying skills were very poor also. I don't know about the last claim, it wouldn't surprise me.
Again, the award was bought for him and it's a nothing more than making up for the Sandhurst book.
