So, an interesting rumor is that Erdem loaned Meghan a dress for a Canadian event she attended with Prince Harry before they were engaged--presumably the Invictus Games--and lo and behold, it didn't get the dress back. Then after the engagement, Meghan stepped up the demand for loaners, which the company was hesitant to do. Catherine, on the other hand, has apparently always paid full price up front. Hence her getting first crack. Nothing to do with Catherine coming first in the pecking order, but simply because Catherine paid and Meghan expected freebies.

I tend to believe this more than the heir/spare line Meghan pulled. What do y'all think?
