I admit I've asked about people's names and nationalities. It's led to some great conversations about cultures, the US, families, etc. I find most people want to talk about their lives and backgrounds. But if folks don't want to talk about that stuff, I change the conversation to the weather, or sports, or whatever.

I'm trying to figure out just what Lady Susan Hussey was thinking. She's a skilled and experienced courtier who should have known better. I hope she's apologized to the King and Queen and even moreso to the woman she treated so horribly.
