I went back to last Christmas and I found photos of the Queen with Frederik and his family, but couldn't find any photos of Joachim and family with his mother last year. Before Covid, when the Crown Prince family would travel to Australia, I'm sure Joachim and family would celebrate Christmas with Margrethe. Then they moved to France and last year Joachim had the stroke so probably felt they should stay home. Now there's really no reason to pay a visit at Christmas except for their snit at HM.
